Established in 1977, Uniondale Community Council is a not-for-profit organization located in Uniondale, New York. It's main goal is to make Uniondale a village with a thriving community. It has a thriving Youth Project. UCC, incorporated in 1979, is registered as a not-for-profit under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.

We also work with other community organizations to strive toward a better Uniondale for all.

Our biggest project has been to provide a place of recreation and learning for youth after school. UCC, now located at 806 Jerusalem Avenue, has provided services for over 19,500 young people from the Uniondale School District Area like daily after-school and summer programs, including Aerobics, Basketball, Dance, Martial Arts, Trips, Tutorial Programs, Arts and Craft Activities, Leadership Programs, Multi-Cultural Programs, in addition to a variety of informative workshops on Skill-Building in Childcare, Job & Career Skills Development, Nutrition, Parenting, and Substance Abuse, under the supervision of a trained member of our staff.

The Youth Project is funded by the Nassau County Youth Board, NYS Special Legislative Grants, NY State Office of Children and Family Services, Town of Hempstead, donations, and community support.

We want every youth in Uniondale to grow up in

an atmosphere which nourishes their favorable development,

where every senior citizen feels secure, where every

homeowner is certain they made a wise decision, and where

every businessperson benefits from

a thriving, prosperous community.
